At Shenton Sakinofsky LLP, we have a Notary Public and/or a Commissioner of Oaths available in our offices at all times during regular business hours, 9 am to 5 pm. No appointment is necessary. Walk-ins are welcome however we recommend calling in advance or booking a time through our online scheduling application on this page.
Notaries services are a FLAT FEE SERVICE.
1. Commissioning costs $26.55 + HST per client signature/per document commissioned (taxes and disbursements extra). We offer discounted rates for high-volume requirements.
To commission a document, you swear or to affirm that the contents of the document are true. Some examples of this are Affidavits or Statutory Declarations. You will prepare these documents in full before you come into our office. In these instances, we do not provide you with legal advice regarding the documents, or their contents. We will only take your oath or affirmation, confirm your identity and signature, and stamp the document.
2. Certifying a true copy of an original documents costs $35.40 + HST per document certified (taxes and disbursements extra). We offer discounted rates for high-volume requirements.
To certify a true copy of an original document, you must bring in your original document to our office and we make the copy and draft the front page.
3. We can draft your Affidavit of Statutory Declaration, or assist you with the filling of governmental forms for a fee. Please contact us to advise of your needs and inquire as to cost.
For all notarial services, kindly remember to bring your original personal photo identification with signature with you to our office.
